I M & L obtains plans and information from the ‘dial before you dig’ service. ‘Dial before you dig’ provides details on underground services located outside the boundary of the property only and is valid for 60 days. Utilising this information I M & L then track and map the underground services within the property boundary. I M & L then create a set of survey plans for the property plotting the services requested. This provides the asset owner with a ‘complete picture’ of the utilities of their property.
Depending upon the clients requirements services can be located and shown using GPS coordinates on the plans. The underground location shown on the plans prepared by I M & L provides information about the underground services presence only. The depth of the utility is shown at specific points and will vary throughout the service. Excavation works will still require that the safe distances for excavation of the service to be followed.
